Dr Anil Kumar Mishra

Dr Anil K Mishra was born in Ballia (UP), India. He received his M.Sc. in 1984 from Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur and his PhD (1988) from Department of Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, and Varanasi, India. He was postdoctoral fellow at for 3 years with Professor Roger Guillard at the University of Bourgogne, Dijon, France and with Professor C. F Meares, University of California, and Davis, USA. He was Research scientist with Professor Chatal from 1994- 1997 at INSERM, Nantes, France.

He joined Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, DRDO, Ministry of Defence Delhi as senior scientist 1997 now he is head and additional director INMAS and Visiting Professor at Max-Planck Institute, Germany from 2002-2003. He has guided 22 PhD students, published more than 270 research papers and given talk in various countries.

Dr Mishra has received several awards and most prestigious one is DRDO Young Scientist by Prime Minister of India in 1999. His research interest is radiochemistry, Metal chemistry, radiopharmaceutical sciences and development of specific molecular imaging probes. Presently, the Centre is working as a nodal point for the exploitation of Nuclear Energy for Oncology and Neurology (NEON) for early detection, staging and functional mapping.
